The Senior Design Factory pursues the objective of bringing together old and young persons as partners of equal value through engagement in creative projects. Design acts as a mediator and builds bridges between the generations. The projects revolves around 4 pillars: the first is the “Atelier” where young designers work together with senior citizens who have craft skills, while the “Shop” then markets the products. Besides, the “Kitchen” is designed to be a cross-generational meeting place, and the “Workshops” serve for the knowledge transfer between young and old.
