La Caravana Escuela (‘the school caravan’ in Spanish), is an itinerant non-for-profit educational project that sets up blacksmithing schools in remote communities of the state of Mérida. It aims to create a world of collective education where creative skills and craftsmanship are the tools to transform society. The communities visited by the travelling blacksmiths experience better collaboration, income diversification, transport, and communication.
