Seventeen identical figures sited throughout New Orleans, commissioned by the New Orleans Arts Council and Evacuteer.org, serve as icon/signs to designate gathering points for transportation out of the city in the event of mandatory evacuation. Each of New Orleans' 300 transit drivers wear a pin depicting this artwork as part of their uniform to raise awareness of this emergency service.
